This article is about the American artist Alexa Meade. She created the two paintings “Timmy Tourist” and “The Watch” in the corridor of our orthodontic practice in Munich-Unterföhring. „Your body is my canvas“ – Alexa Meade
Alexa Meade’s work is characterized by the fact that when she paints something, she does not use a canvas. Instead, she paints the person or object directly and then photographs it. This creates pictures in which the boundaries between painting and photography, between reality and artwork and between 2-dimensionality and 3-dimensionality disappear. On the left are the two pictures that hang in our orthodontic practice in Munich-Unterföhring.
Alexa Meade has received a lot of attention recently. She has worked with major brands such as BMW MINI, Ralph Lauren and Mercedes-Benz. ZDF has reported on the artist, as have the New York Times and numerous other established media outlets. Alexa Meade was invited to speak at the TED Ideas Conference.
